Camtasia for Mac Review–Smart Focus

Today Camtasia for Mac was released and I did a quick video on smart focus, one of the many impressive things that comes with the software.  I have been following their blog often and waiting for a Mac version.  Well here it is, I will be writing a more in depth review once I use more features.  I am a little upset that the name is Camtasia for Mac instead of a new name –like the software is an ugly step child–but its not, so I uploaded a YouTube version and I opened a screencast.com account and embeded that version as well.

Great video. I just downloaded it also and am very excited. I've been using Camtasia for Windows for the last couple of years and love all the Techsmith products.

Just started playing with it myself. The first thing I've noted, is that there is no mouse-click call outs. Second, I didn't see any way to capture and display text? Third, calling focus to the foreground window is a filter, and thus it is applied to the entire clip. These three things seem to be a weakness from the get go. I'm sure I can find more and realize this is just 1.0, but still, they've being doing this for Windows for quite a while. No excuses there. Good work getting a review out there!
